Candlewood Golf Course opened for play in 1956. The course was designed by Harry and David Rainville.

Candlewood Golf Course has tight, tree-lined fairways. The greens are somewhat undulating, and there are sand bunkers on every hole. A creek runs through the course and water comes into play on thirteen holes.
